The Mets' four home runs (two by Justin Turner, one by Josh Thole, one by Jason Bay, and two of those to the deepest part of Citi Field) on Saturday night against Atlanta in an 11-7 win has caused the Home Run Apple to leave the game early with "stem fatigue". The Home Run Apple has been shut down from baseball related activity for the next week and will report to St. Lucie for a rehab assignment. The Apple's response to home runs hit by St. Lucie will determine if surgery is needed.
Pat Misch has been called up.
