A Gentle End

The Phillies can have their party all they want now.  At least it isn't coming in front of the Mets.

I don't mean that in a "gee we showed them" kind of way, but more in the "boy, we've been through enough so just let us go into the good night quietly" kind of way.

And yet I can still muster up enough bitterness and anger to express that not only should the Mets have still drilled Chase Utley, but that any time Cole Hamels eats it is a good day in my book.  But it was nothing compared to the bitterness and anger that Carlos Beltran had in his bat on Sunday.  If the weekend's production was a result of some deep rooted anger stirred up by Utley, then somebody tape a picture of Utley to everything that Carlos owns until spring training.
