And Frankie was so depressed that Blanco and Cuzzi got into a fistfight that he drank for hours ... in fact, he closed down the bar.
Moral of the story: Never let Frankie close a damn thing. Certainly not twice.
Thankfully, Ike "The Stimulus" Davis, cool and calm sucker that he is, was roasting marshmallows on the fire that Frankie created, and then used the stick to hit a game winning double in the tenth to give Frankie another shot to blow the game. He failed miserably, but he tried ... the god you pray to knows he tried. Regardless, the Mets salvaged the final game of the series thanks to Davis, Cuzzi, and Johan Santana, who seriously needs to file a police report for all the wins he's had stolen from him ... although just to be safe he might want to wait until the team leaves Arizona for that.
Oh yeah, Arizona. The inevitable showdown between Frankie "Lincoln Beard" Rodriguez, and Aaron Heilman ... Two men standing near an open window while staring at each other ... wondering why there's a draft in the room and what to do to make it stop. They might be there for hours trying to figure it out. Better keep Pelf out of the room before his neck gets stiff again.
